Lyra - Aerial Hoop
Gavin Smith
Description
Aerial Lyra or Hoop is a fixed size aerial apparatus that can be made with a simple single point of attachment or multiple points. It is made to suit your size and other details you can personalise.
How it’s made
We use stainless steel or mild steel in solid or tubular construction. Welded lugs, or rope spliced directly to the bar to allow tricks above the bar. When selecting a Lyra the important things to consider are sizes, duo or solo work, welded lugs with handloop attachment or rope spliced to bar, and colours. Once the size is carefully selected we can then add the options and customisations, such as 1 inch 4 ply cotton rope spliced directly to the bar, rope colour, velvet colour, paint effects or pearl shell inlay,
Uses
The Aerial Lyra or Aerial Hoop is a popular apparatus and we have designed our Lyra on a hybrid of trapeze, Spanish web rope and corde lise. Your aerial act will stand out as an individual signature with the designs we create.
More Info
Our unique handloop attachment points in either single or double and ropes spliced directly to the bar have been created to offset the geometry of the bar when working outside the circle. We also destruction test our ropes and can proof load test to ensure you are getting the safest aerial apparatus. We also make travel bags from recycled vinly banner material which adds to the custom look of your gear.
